Welcome to the first CRD Associates blog post! The blog is an added feature of our new website which, you may have noticed, has been updated to make it easier to navigate. We welcome your comments and insights on the topics we discuss and their impact on you and your organization.
As we begin a new year, so many factors will influence public policy that it’s almost impossible to list them all here. Chief among them will be the presidential campaign, the congressional races, the on-going debt issues, the two-month payroll tax holiday extension, the temporary physician “pay fix,” the FY 2013 budget and appropriations cycle and, of course, the looming sequestration scheduled to occur on January 2, 2013.
We intend to use this space to share our thoughts on all of these issues and more. We hope you will find the CRD blog informative, engaging and, at times, entertaining! As the year unfolds, issues will evolve and new ones will emerge. We’ll give you our best thinking on what’s happening in our nation’s capital and what it means.
If we have learned nothing else after more than 30 years in business, it’s that predicting the future actions of Congress or an administration is a high-risk bet that only Sunday morning talking heads can afford to wager. So instead, we’ll give our readers well-reasoned, balanced assessments based on our first-hand knowledge, experience and some back-channel intelligence thrown in for good measure.
Your thoughts and questions are always welcome below, or you or you can reach any of our outstanding team directly at [email protected]. We look forward to working with you to make this a valuable resource.
