CRD Associates’ Vice President Katie Schubert has been elected to the Board of Directors of Women in Government Relations (WGR). Founded in 1975, WGR is one of the most respected non-profit, non-partisan government relations associations in the Washington metropolitan area. WGR’s over 750 members include women and men at all professional levels representing corporations, trade associations and professional societies, law firms, lobbying firms, non-profit groups and federal, state and local governments.
A member of WGR for four years, Katie recently served as co-chair of WGR’s Networking and Special Events Task Force, spearheading multiple events for WGR membership. “I am thrilled to have been elected to serve on WGR’s Board, and look forward to providing quality programming for our membership and helping to steer the direction of the organization over the next two years. Women in the government relations field face unique challenges but also have many opportunities. I look forward to working with the organization to realize its full potential in addressing these issues with its membership,” Schubert said.
Schubert’s term begins July 1, 2012.
