Brian Waldrip, Senior Vice President
Brian Waldrip joined CRD Associates in 2018 as Senior Vice President. His primary areas of expertise include:
Higher education policy;
Issue advocacy; and
Transportation and public works.
Prior to joining CRD Associates, Brian served as Professional Staff for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. In this role, he managed oversight and investigations engagements across the full jurisdiction of the Committee, including work with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation, General Services Administration (GSA), and other federal entities. Previous to his committee work, Brian served for over a decade as Legislative Director for former Florida Congressman John Mica (FL07), where he successfully developed and executed strategies to meet the legislative goals of the member across all policy areas and advocated for a diverse group of stakeholders to affect change at the federal level.
Some of the projects completed during his time in Congress include the successful expansion of Florida’s high-tech modeling, simulation, and training industry; the conveyance of excess federal property to local communities; environmental restoration projects; the preservation and enhancement of National Park facilities; and the coordination with communities to assist in overcoming crises related to natural disaster, terrorist incident, drug epidemic, and pandemic threat. With an emphasis on infrastructure, transportation specific projects successfully completed include the development, funding, construction, and opening of commuter rail in Central Florida (SunRail); roadway improvements; implementation of intelligent transportation systems using technology to more effectively and efficiently move traffic; airport facilities and operations expansions; and improved coordination of transit to support intermodality.
Prior to his work in Congress, Brian assisted in the development and implementation of lessons for an English immersion program in Taiwan. Additionally, he was a General Securities Licensed brokerage assistant at a financial services firm.
Brian is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with minors in Economics and Asian Studies.
