CRD Associates Announces Major Expansion of Health Policy Practice

October 26, 2016 – Cavarocchi Ruscio Dennis (CRD) Associates, LLC is proud to announce the expansion of its Healthcare Policy and Life Sciences practice with the addition of four individuals who are well-versed in the intricacies of health policy.

Garrett Eberhardt has joined the firm as Senior Policy Associate, where his primary focus will be on public and private reimbursement, including coding and coverage policies, the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and public health advocacy. Garrett brings a depth of knowledge seasoned by several years of legislative, regulatory and operational expertise in Medicare, Medicaid and related health policies. Prior to joining CRD Associates, Garrett managed the government affairs unit of the American Medical Group Association where he gained deep knowledge of the development and implementation of policies at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), including the physician fee schedule, MACRA, Accountable Care Organizations, the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System and the Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System. Prior to his six years at AMGA, Garrett staffed the Republican Policy Committee where he served as liaison to state and local governments as well civic organizations. Garrett received his B.A. in Political Science from Ohio State University.

Lindsey Trischler, who completed her policy fellowship at CRD Associates in 2015, has rejoined the firm as a Policy Associate. In the interim, Lindsey was an Advocacy Associate at the International Myeloma Foundation where she was responsible for coordinating and expanding the IMF’s state and federal policy initiatives. She focused on promoting funding for medical research and innovation; equality in access to treatments; and expanding access to unapproved therapies and treatments for patients with multiple myeloma. Additionally, Lindsey helped lead two coalitions comprised of over 20 patient, provider and industry organizations working at the state and federal levels to pass oral parity legislation. She also coordinated a national network of advocates whom she trained to help the IMF carry out its policy priorities. Lindsey is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where she received her B.A. in Communication and a Public Relations Certificate.

Also joining the firm as a Policy Associate is David Eaton, who brings a wealth of experience on healthcare, science and education issues. Prior to joining CRD Associates, David served as legislative and policy aide to Ohio Representative Joyce Beatty, whom he advised on health and human services legislation and policy issues. Prior to that, he was legislative intern to California Representative Judy Chu, and served as policy analyst and legislative research fellow to the Philadelphia City Council, where developed recommendations for council members and focused on small business practices. David received his B.A. in Political Science from UCLA.

Rounding out the team is Jennifer Eileen McCrindle, who joins CRD Associates as the Accreditation and Programs Manager on behalf of the firm’s client, the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. Her primary responsibilities will be to assist with the organization’s epilepsy center accreditation, advocacy and member support programs. Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer worked at the American Psychological Association as assistant director of policy analysis and communication, supporting the Commission on Accreditation in their efforts to accredit health service psychology education and training programs. In this role, she developed accreditation policy and worked to maintain compliance with regulatory bodies, including the U.S. Department of Education. Prior to that, Jennifer worked for Villanova University, where she was adjunct faculty for the Master of Public Administration Program, and implemented leadership and advocacy programs for undergraduate students. Jennifer received her Master of Public Administration from Villanova University and a B.A. in Sociology from Northeastern University.
