Johanna Gray, Vice President

 

Johanna Gray Image Johanna Gray joined the firm in 2011 with six years experience working in health policy and government relations. Johanna has expertise in developing and implementing legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts, primarily for health care consumers and providers, including non-profit patient advocacy organizations, physician specialty societies, and specialized treatment centers. Her work includes building and managing coalitions, organizing grassroots activity, briefing congressional staff, drafting regulatory comment letters and monitoring and analyzing legislation and regulations. She also has experience working to advance client priorities with respect to various federal public health agencies.  Johanna led a coalition of seventy patient advocacy groups and other supporters which successfully advocated for the elimination of lifetime limits on private health insurance in the Affordable Care Act.  Before joining CRD Associates, Johanna performed budget and program analysis as a consultant to the Commissioner of the Onondaga County, New York Department of Health, worked as a health policy lobbyist at Holland and Knight and MARC Associates, was income security research assistant at the National Academy of Social Insurance, and interned in then-Senator Barack Obama's office.  Johanna received a Master of Public Administration and a Certificate in Health Services Management and Policy from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a B.A. in Public Policy Studies with honors from the University of Chicago.
