Cavarocchi•Ruscio•Dennis Associates, L.L.C. today announced that Jennifer L. Shevchek, former aide to Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), has joined the government relations firm.

Ms. Shevchek comes to CRD Associates after serving as legislative aide to Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), whose committee assignments include Appropriations, Judiciary, Government Affairs, and Veterans Affairs. A member of Specter's personal staff, Ms. Shevchek advised him on a wide range of domestic issues including prescription and generic drugs, hospital and physician reimbursement, the uninsured, women's health and Medicaid issues affecting the disabled.

A specialist on the federal appropriations process, Ms. Shevchek also served as a liaison with Pennsylvania-based institutions and nonprofit organizations seeking federal aid, helping those organizations navigate the legislative and grant-making processes.

Ms. Shevchek attended Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a B.A. in Telecommunications with a minor in English.
